Servants of the Living God

It took over forty-eight years for the west to meet the east of Africa. I’m Boyd and I am from Liberia, West Africa and Pamela is from Kenya, East Africa. We have ten children. Five biological and another five adopted children. We believe our Father has commissioned us through our Lord Jesus Christ as missionaries to the western world.

We have been commissioned to go to the churches. After we received this commission, we have visited the broader spectrum of the Christian Church, with the message of the oneness of our Lord Jesus Christ. Everywhere we went the brethren was glad to see us, notwithstanding there were some with a judgemental spirit who said to us, you have to be careful because not all of the Churches is Jesus’ church. The question that came to mind was how do you know when you are caught up in your own little corner?

One thing we have learnt through the grace of our Lord is not to judge others, which has made us successful to be joined to the rest of the Christian body. We have sensed for the past year how the church yearn for God’s presence and manifestation. Nevertheless, not many are willing to let go of their tradition.

With the grace and responsibility we received, God over the years has been downloading His mind for the church and this is the message we have been sharing wherever we were given the opportunity to share the word of God. We have written three books and have published the first which is in our book store section.

Pamela is a Coastal Geologist with over 22 years of professional experience, researching in shoreline change studies, mitigation measures and coastal zone management. She has a background in Geomorphology, Sedimentology and coastal processes.  Pamela has a BSc in Geology (First Class Honours) from the University of Nairobi, Kenya and a Masters of Science (Geology) in 1994. She has a PhD from the University of Wollongong. Her thesis examined the susceptibility of the Illawarra south coast New South Wales, from climate change. Pamela worked in interdisciplinary projects as; Network Integrator in the Australian Learning and Teaching Council

Pamela was commissioned by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO in 2009, to prepare a technical scientific report to the African Union Commission at the Conference in Copenhagen (7-18 December 2009). She received research grants to undertake assessment of the vulnerability of the Australian coastal zone to climate change from Australian Greenhouse Office. In 2010, she was the lead author of Chapter 12 on Vulnerability Assessments of the Coastal Zone Management book by Telford and Publishers. She was also a contributing author of Chapter 6 on Coasts and Low-lying areas of the 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, Fourth Assessment report and has publications in peer-reviewed international, local journals and consultancy reports.

Before moving to Australia, Pamela worked for the Kenya Marine and Fisheries Research Institute, Mombasa, Kenya, being the Principal Geologist as well as the Assistant Director for Marine and Coastal Programs, and in charge of six researches: Fisheries, Aquaculture, Marine Environmental and Ecological Programme, Natural Products, Socioeconomics and Database.

“But God had plans for me to carry out His kingdom work rather than be a ‘doctor of stones,’ as a geologist is known in most African languages. It has been awesome the more I fell in love with Jesus Christ to witness God download the contents of these books, chapter by chapter,” she says. Glory be to God.

Over the years as we have been serving in ministry, we have been privileged to learn the importance of the fear of God, which is the beginning of having wisdom, a lesson not taught in many of our twenty-first century churches. Our ministry emphasizes on the Father as God and Jesus Christ as the beginning and the end of the church.

We are called servants of the Living God because of the respect (fear) we have for our Master and Lord Jesus Christ who was the greatest servant king and has left us with this example to follow. We love God and we have committed our lives to full time ministry as He has called us.
